We had a fantastic experience working with JR construction on our first house build, a three-storey build on a sloping block. From the very beginning we had a smooth and transparent design process, with the designer (Matt) doing a fantastic job at taking on our often-whimsical ideas and turning them into practical solutions whilst keeping us on budget. Although building during COVID (and the underground creek we discovered) offered unique challenges, Jansen and the team dealt with these expertly and efficiently. Any changes, queries or updates was reassuring as I have been known to change my mind with many things including colours, designs and products, but it was never too much trouble nor a hassle, and I was not made feel bad for doing so.

We recently moved into our new home built by JR Construction and couldn’t be happier with the end result. From the outset, JR Construction were easy to deal with - they listened to our ideas, guided us through the planning process, and designed a home to suit our needs and budget.

It has been a year since moving into our new home. Jansen has not only built a home for us to live in but has helped us with fulfil a vision of a dream of having something nice to call HOME.

Having built over 10 times previously using several different builders, I was pleasantly surprised by the JR Construction experience! From the initial design through to the completed house- Jansen, Matt and their team of subcontractors, simplified the build process. I feel their key attributes include:
A motivated, approachable team- including subcontractors!
Attention to detail and high quality of finish.
Open channels of communication- They keep you informed at all times of the build process.
A problem solving mentality- Inevitably errors/omissions/changes occur during building. It's how these are dealt with by the builder that either stresses or relaxes the homeowner. JR construction is of the latter type!
Finally they are competitively priced- I put them up against known price conscious project builders and JR constructions actually came out on top!
Would I build with them for the third time? Definitely!! Just looking for the next site boys...

I was referred to JR Construction by a friend who also built with them. She said they were good builders and easy going. I also had a positive experience with them and liked how they kept me informed on the build process and it was a relatively quick turnaround time.
I have little complaints on the finish product and in fact it was a high quality finish. I have built with other builders that were substandard but I would recommend JR and would build with them in the future.
